Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any file size limits?
No hard limits. Because the image is processed in your device's memory, you can crop images of any size as long as your device has enough RAM to load them. Very large files (over 20 MB) may cause the browser to lag.
Will my image lose quality?
If you select PNG, the crop is lossless. If you select JPEG or WebP, the tool applies a high default quality (92%), which you can adjust in the Output section.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Use the aspect ratio presets (1:1, 16:9, 4:3, etc.) to constrain the crop shape. Exact pixel dimensions can be set by entering width and height values in the crop settings.
Does the tool upload my image to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your image is never sent anywhere — all processing happens locally on your device.
Which output formats are supported?
You can export as JPEG, PNG, or WebP. PNG preserves transparency and gives lossless output; JPEG and WebP produce smaller files with adjustable compression quality.
