Rotate pages individually or all at once
About PDF Rotation
When do I need to rotate a PDF?
PDF rotation is most useful when scanned documents or photos end up sideways or upside-down, or when you receive a PDF where some pages have a different orientation than others. Rather than re-scanning, you can correct the rotation digitally and save a clean, properly-oriented file.
Does rotation affect PDF text or images?
No. This tool sets the page rotation angle in the PDF metadata using pdf-lib — it does not re-render or re-encode the page content. Text remains selectable, images stay at full resolution, and the file size doesn't change significantly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rotate individual pages or all pages at once?
Both. Use the per-page rotate buttons on each thumbnail to adjust individual pages, or use the 'Rotate All Left/Right' buttons to apply the same rotation to every page in one click.
Does rotating a PDF reduce its quality?
No. This tool uses pdf-lib to set the page rotation metadata in the PDF — it doesn't re-render or re-compress the page content. Text, images, and vectors remain untouched.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. All processing runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file never leaves your device.
What rotation angles are supported?
You can rotate pages by 90° increments (90°, 180°, 270°). Click the rotate buttons multiple times to reach the angle you need.
Why do thumbnails look slightly blurry?
Thumbnails are rendered at a reduced scale for performance. The actual PDF output is full resolution — only the preview is scaled down.
